CHAPTER ONE
Back in the mansion Mr Verma was thinking about his
son while having a glass of whisky .he was on his 2nd round and
was slowly losing his control. He sat on the long couch in the center of the
drawing room trying to force him another glass.
Mr Rajesh Verma is big time Indian entrepreneur, he
runs a company 'V Enterprises' which had been running for generations .he is
one of the most known persons in and around the world. He is 48 years old
and still looks charming. Mr Verma lost his wife the day Rishe was born.
His butler entered the dining room with dinner. He
placed it on the long table in the dining room for Mr Verma .the butler walked
toward the drawing room to intimate Mr Verma.
He entered the drawing room and came close to Mr Verma
“sir dinner is ready"
Mr Verma put his hand on the butler's shoulder “Raju
am i getting old to hold my liquor?"
“sir you have high sugar and blood pressure so i
advice you to stop drinking and have your dinner "
Mr Verma tried to force the glass into his mouth but
his butler pulled it out of his hand, he looked up with a furious look but the
butler ignored it.
Raju forced him out of his seat and walked him to the dining
room and placed him to his chair at table and made him first drink some water
and started to fill his plate with dinner.
Mr Verma started to come back to his senses and
started eating up his food. While he was at the end of his meal Mr Verma looked
up at Raju.
“Raju , rishe’s birthday is coming up by the end this
month, What do you think I should get him?”
Raju as he was cleaning up the empty the dishes on the
table smiled at Mr Verma
“Sir every year since the day master Rishe was born
you ask me what to buy him for his birthday and over the years you have learnt
that whatever you got him he would like it, but he would love the most if you
get what he wants when you ask him”.
Mr Verma knew that he had been hearing that ever year coming out of Raju .he finished his meal

wants”
He got up and Raju came to help him out
“Raju I am just a bit tipsy not ill” and smiled at him
“I know sir, you are always healthy as a horse from
day one” and he smiled back
Mr Verma cleaned up and went to his home office and
took his phone to make a call to Rishe.
After a few rings,
the line got connected and there were a lot of noises of a lot of people in the
background
Mr Verma “hey kiddo, how are you? What’s with all the noise?”
A sweet voice comes out of the phone “hello this is
priya , Rishe is preoccupied for the moment who am I speaking to?”
Mr Verma got curious “this is Rishe’s dad and
what are you to Rishe”
There was no response but Mr Verma could hear someone handing
the phone to someone else.
“Well you have been busy I thought you had an exam
tomorrow”
“I do and I am totally preparing for it…. well don’t
worry about it”
“Well okay then who was the girl on the phone previously”
“What aah she is nothing just a friend” Mr Verma
could hear someone hitting him and whispering with a sweet voice to him “ dad
just hold up could you wait for a few minutes I will call you back”
The got disconnected and Mr Verma sat down on his
chair and smiled to himself and lite a cigar and thought “looks like my little
boy has become a man” and he blew out a fume of smoke from him mouth.
After a while Mr Verma’s phone rang and he dropped
the cigar and picked up the phone.
“Yeah dad, what’s up?”
Mr Verma noticed that the background noise was gone
and he could hear his son’s voice much clear now.
“Rishe , I called to ask want you want for your
birthday?”
Rishe paused “aah well I don’t want anything dad”
“Come on there has to be something you want the most”
“I already have whatever I want YOU what else do I
need”
“Aha touching, just like your mother you are coming
home before your birthday right?”
“Yeah dad I will come as soon as I am done here”
“Ok kiddo have fun whatever you’re doing bye!”
“Bye dad!”
The call ended.
Mr verma was relived and a bit disappointed since he
couldn’t find what gift he could get Rishe for his birthday even though he
didn’t want anything.
Raju entered the loft with plate of a few pills and a
glass of water.
“Sir it’s time to take your pills” Raju placed them on
his palms and made him take it.
“Raju he didn’t want anything and i really want
to get him something”
“Sir then whatever you get him, he would like it after
all he is your son”
Raju left the loft as soon as he took his pills and
left him to ponder.
Mr Verma got up and walked towards Rishes room. He saw
a lot of things, a lot of memories on the walls of the room. He saw the Bachelor’s
degree from Georgia Tech hanging on the center of the wall. He saw the picture
where his son won the spelling bee contest. And at end of wall, right next to rishe's
study table he noticed a picture more like a poster. He approached closer to it
and smiled and called out for Raju.
Raju entered the room “sir you asked for me?”
“Raju I think I know what to get him for his birthday”
pointed the picture to Raju “call up Mr Bhakshy and ask him to get it for my
son’s birthday”
“Sir I think now you are at peace, I presume”
“More than you think raju” and smiled at him.
Mr Verma walked to his office and sat down on his seat
satisfied and took up the unfinished cigar and got comfortable.
CHAPTER TWO
Somewhere far in the woods blackcat one and blackcat
two were carefully observing every move of a target in a castle like house. They
had a sniper pointing from their hill side tent.
Blackcat two “target is in sight in the alpha room of
the castle, blackcat one notify control on the status”
Blackcat one took out the Comm system and set down a
frequency “control this blackcat one from the safe zone, we have the target in
sight, I repeat we have target in sight”
Control “status received blackcat one, standby for
further orders control out”
“blackcat one out”
Blackcat one turned off the transmission and sat down
on watch of the target.
CHAPTER EPILOGUE
Somewhere in London city with a population of 8.6
million people .Were the streets are filled with people and just the right
place to play CYWARS.
CYWARS is game founded by a group of tech nerds, law
students and students who just want have fun. By the inspiration of our ancestors
who founded the game Chess, Buy restricting a few pieces with a few moves and
play one on one to take a win. CYWARS is based on a similar concept, just
completely modified to coop to the present scenario and technology advancement.
In CYWARS similar to chess is restricted to sixteen
players, where there are eight players who will be the field agents for the team
just like pawns in chess, eight main players who hold the life for the entire
team. Among the Eight, Two will be skimmer hackers who build up safety to
field agents and the main teammates just like the elephant in chess; two will
be like captain to the eight field agents. Their mobility is self-dependent
just like knight in chess namely alphas. Two will be monitoring the streets for
any law enforcement officers or any one of the law and provide safe path
to all the player of the team namely Watchers. Then two main leaders decide all
strategies and one of them will be a legal thinker so that they don’t break any
laws while making any strategies just like a minister in chess.
And the game takes place within an enclosed radius
which by any means moving out of range leads to auto elimination of that
player. And the scenario can be any place within a city. And the team has to
adapt to the given scenario.
This game was founded by students and it is played by
all ages until unless they don’t break any law.
Each player is attached a life meter and an
electromagnetic gun and he is allowed communication with the team the mode of
communication is based on teams choice.
When the life meter runs out, the player is out and
the gun is disabled and communication will be disconnected from the team.
CHAPTER THREE
Somewhere on one of the high buildings in the
city of London, sixteen players were discussing their strategy to go against
the opponent.
Rishe verma and Ravi came forward in front of the team.
Rishe came forward flipping a Two euro coin which happens to be his habit
of flipping coins. He’s got a hobby of collecting coins which are worth 2 of
all countries it’s more like an obsession towards the number ‘two’.
Ravi is Rishe’s best and childhood friend, and also
happens to be a law student.
“Team as you know I and Ravi are going to lead the
game today so we are your captains for today's game is going to very much
interesting and most importantly, it's going to be fun”
The team roars up
“so we are finally in London against top team ‘The
Lacrosts’”there was a lot of booing in the air and Rishe continued “we being
the best team in Edinburgh we will win this and be victorious as we are The
Reapers !!!”
The roared up and started shouting “Reapers Reapers
Reapers”
Rishe raised his hand to calm them down and they all
fell silent, continues playing the coin in his hand.
“Today’s strategy is going be completely
different so I want you to pay attention very carefully”
They all discussed the strategy carefully and all we
geared up and ready .the watcher team started scanning the streets of London as
the hacked into the city's traffic feeds.
The Cytech team started searching into the enemies
frequencies to get the feed and also giving a digital cloaking to the team.
Rishe went close to his alpha two “are you sure you
are up to this I can still replace you with someone else”
She replied “I am totally fine besides I am not the
one with issues” she gave out a serious look
Rishe smiled at her and patted her and went back to
his post.
The alphas and field agents divided into groups spread
themselves in to the battle field.
Thousands of viewers were here at the nearby
monitoring grounds to see the battle between The Lacrost and The Reapers.
Exactly at 10pm their meter and gun were activated and
the game was on.
Rishe carefully managed his team to scout the
territory, he made the Cytech to make duplicate player by creating digital
loops to bring out the enemy from hiding and disable them. 6 field agents were
down from their team and likewise opponent was down by 5 field agents and 1
alpha.
Rishe on radio” alpha one take out their watcher so we
don’t have to worry about being seen one of them happens to be close by you due
north”
“Got it captain”
Alpha one took out the watcher in stealth he looked at
the monitor and saw something which worried him.
He took his Comm set
“Captain they have located your position, you are out
in the open and surrounded by the enemy”
“Alpha one stand down in your position, do not engage”
Rishe looks up at Ravi and he looked puzzled
“Rishe will this work, I know it’s a long shot but
it's worth a big risk”
“Trust me it will definitely work, I am
putting my money on this” he gave a confident look at ravi and smiled and
flipped the coin in his hand once.
Rishe took up the Comm “alpha two are you ready?”
There was no response; he grasped the coin in his hand
and with an increased voice
“Priya are you there or not!!”
“Yes Mr Boss I am ready, you don’t have to pamper me
you know” then the comms went off.
Ravi looked at Rishe “that was harsh are you two
fighting again” Rishe didn’t reply and gave out look which Ravi understood.
The entire safe zone was surrounded by Lacrost’s 3
agents, an alpha and a watcher .one of them went for the door entrance and opened
it .They all rushed in tactically and turned on the lights. There was nothing
in the room, it was empty .the watcher rechecked his monitor and it showed
them there were in the right place.
Suddenly the remaining doors of the room opened and
then alpha two and 3 field agents rushed shooting with their guns at them. They
were all disabled in a fraction of seconds.
One of them “we were played by them” to his team mates
Alpha two “hell right you were” then she went for the
comms
“Control the plan worked they fell right into the trap,
they are completely immobile”
Rishe “well done Priya” there was no response, He looked
up at Ravi with a smile of accomplishment “all units regroup and prepare to get
the target”
Ravi “Rishe I don’t believe this but one of their
leader and skimmer tried to escape from the trap and they accidentally stepped
out of the game zone while rushing away”
Rishe “and that’s why i asked to set our base at the
edge of the zone even though it was risky”
There was transmission coming from the cons, Rishe
turned it on.
Alpha one “captain if you are not at base then where
are you?”
Rishe laughed “well James we ditched the place after
exposing our location and looks like we are on a city bus towards your
location”
Alpha one “that’s genius”
Rishe “James it’s not over yet we still have to finish
the remaining Three”
James “well Rishe I don’t think that is necessary they
are surrendering, just look up we can see them shaking out a white flag we
won!!”
Rishe stood from his seat in the bus and looked back
at Ravi and the others with him. Rishe shouted out and everyone jumped from
their seats and shouted and hugged each other.
Every one gathered around and regrouped and enjoyed
their victory. Rishe searched for Priya, she was not around .he asked his
friends if they saw her but they didn’t see her after the take down.
Ravi “she is not here Rishe and she is not picking her
phone” he put his hand on Rishe “ rishe I will take care of things here you go
get her”
Rishe left the crowd got into his car and went
straight to Priya’s hotel.
He bought a bunch of fancy flowers on the way and
went to her room door and he knocked
A voice came out “who is it?”
“It’s me Rishe please open the door "after a
pause she replied “it’s open”
He entered the room she was sitting on the bed with
her legs closed to her chest .he replaced the flowers in the vase with the
ones he bought.
He sat on one of the chairs next her bed and exhaled. She
looked fixated at him.
“Ok then let it out I am all ears”
“You are an idiot you know that right” he nodded and smiled
“you think this is funny …what we have?”
Still no response from Rishe .she got a bit furious
and threw a pillow at him.
“You told your dad that I am just a friend … are we?”
Rishe’s eyes widened “okay you are mad about that I
just couldn’t tell him it wasn’t the right time”
“Then when will it be after i get married to someone
else”
Rishe got onto his knees “you have my word Priya I will
ask him as soon as I see him Now please don’t be mad I bought you flowers”
She looked at the pretty flowers and turned to him and
slapped him gently on his cheek.
She came close to him and gave him a kiss on the very
same cheek. Rishe was expecting something more but that was alright.
“You are excused for the moment but this is not over
yet, you have a final exam tomorrow aren’t you going to prepare for it”
“Aah don’t worry about it, first we have to get back
to the University by morning so let’s pack and leave fast” playing with the
coin in his hand.
They packed up their luggage and checked of the hotel and
then they were en route back to the university. Rishe was the only one to have
an exam. Priya graduated with Bachelor’s In Fashion Technology and Business Management.
Rishe here is undergoing his post-graduation in Masters in Business
Administration and minors in Criminology and Investigation analysis.
Rishe studies in the University of Edinburgh and he
has an exam on strategic business management which happens to be practical
review where he has to face a board panel and show how a person must
divine a strategic plan to enhance a business. This is more like a project
final review but the University makes their own names to call that in many ways.
Its 400 miles travel from London to Edinburgh so Rishe
and Priya got into the car and they looked up their watches it was 1 in the
morning
Priya took up the driving seat “when does the panel start?”
“9 am sharp by my calculations it takes 7hrs to Edinburgh,
I am going to take a nap if you fell sleepy just wake me up”
“I will take you there by 6hrs wait are you sure you
don’t have to prepare for the panel”
“Priya relax it's taken care of just get me to
Edinburgh” he placed a hat on his face and went to sleep
Priya fired up the car engine and set her course to
Edinburgh. And in a few minutes they were on the freeway.
CHAPTER FOUR
It’s been 3 days since control gave orders to blackcat
one and two to monitor the castle and asked them to spot the target and to
stand by.
One “two who do you think is in the castle”
“Don’t know and don’t care that what the mission
requirements were right”
“I know that but still we need more information about
the target, rather than just the info that target stays in the northeastern
chamber of the castle every evenings”
“True but what else can we do” two opened up his
binoculars and started to stack the castle suddenly he saw something very
strange at the garden of the castle “what the hell is this guy doing?”
“Doing what, who is doing what two” two handed the
binoculars to one he grabbed it and focused at the direction two was watching.
“What is he trying to do with that thing, Vow were the
hell did the other two guys come from?”
“Do you think we should notify control?”
“No actually control meant his word to standby for
order, the Comms are down we have no connection with control”
“So what do we do?”
“Nothing we just watch the show”
They both kept their eyes on the castle garden and
watched the group doing something.
CHAPTER FIVE
Rishe and Priya reached the university at 8.15am.They
drove to the Edinburgh hall where rishe had to present to the panel. When they
reached there they noticed Ravi and a few others were waiting for them. Rishe
smiled while he was playing with his coin.
Ravi came towards the car window on Rishe’s side
“You guys are late we have been waiting for a while”
he looked at Rishe and whispered “was it that bad?” he smiled and clicked his
eye.
Priya “we wouldn’t have been late if it wasn’t for
this idiot to stop for breakfast for an hour” she got out of the car.
Rishe got out and looked at Ravi “is it done?” ravi smiled and nodded.
Priya came towards them as they were walking towards
the hall “wait today is your panel Rishe and you have not prepared, what are
you planning to do when you face the board”
Rishe looked confident “Priya just relax and stay in
the front row in the hall and leave the rest to me”
Rishe saw his teammates Smith, Rachael, and Karthik
and they we’re coming towards him and Rachael “dude you were right the
numbers are off the chart” Rishe stopped her.
“Guys save your energy for the panel” he looked up at
Rachel she looked exhausted “Rachel are you ok? Take a break”
She looked into his eyes“I will take a break when this
is all over” Rishe was surprised and smiled at her dedication.
Priya looked clueless as she and Ravi parted from Rishe
and his team towards the hall
Rishe and his team formed a circle and discussed
everything.
As they entered Rishe encountered Mrs Morgan, his
analytical business management faculty. Mrs Morgan doesn’t like Rishe because
of his lethargic and the fact that he is top student in his class and that he
always finds a way to get through situations.
“Mr Verma you are late but you are excused because I
am going to be on your panel so watch yourself” she smiled and gave an
evil grim at Rishe.
Rishe smiled and came close to her “well Mrs
Morgan then prepare yourself for jumping from your seat as you have front row
seats to the show ” the smile vanished from her face and she turned and walked
away.
After a few rounds it was time for Rishe’s team to
face the board, they were completely ready were brushing through their
computers.
As they entered the hall center, which was a lower
stage hall where the audiences were around in an elevated seating .they
connected their computers to the hall projectors. Rishe searched the audience
and found Priya and Ravi seated at second row. She smiled at him and lipped a
good luck even though she had no idea what he was going to present.
The center had elevated seats on one end of the stage
were Chancellor Jefferson, Division Chair Mr Robertson and Mrs Morgan were
seated on either side of the Chancellor.
The Chancellor broke up the silence looking at the 4
below him
“ Mr Verma and team you were given the situation on
how to improve a company’s sales and market value please present your views and
ideas to the task”.
Mrs morgan
reached for the Chancellor’s ear and whispered. Then he continued
“And I was also told you didn’t give any initial
reviews so this is your only chance”
Rishe had a honk Kong 2 dollar in his hand and he was
playing with it.He smiled at the chancellor.
“Chancellor Sir before we go into the technical
details of the project, I would like say is thank you for giving us the
authority and resources for doing this project and also the… funding”
Mrs morgan turned white “Mr Verma what are you
implying with this the university didn’t fund you I made sure that didn’t
happen” the chancellor looked in a shock at Mrs Morgan but she ignored him.
Rishe smiled fixated on Mrs Morgan “I know” he
turned to Rachael who was with computer and nodded to her, signaling her.
Rachael started clicking the keys on her computer. Within a few seconds all the
monitor screens of the hall turned on and various figures appeared on them.
Rishe looked at Ravi who was smiling broadly, he
turned to Priya who was in a complete shock with her eyes widened and she
turned to Rishe and he clicked one of his eyes.
The entire hall was in a shock and Mrs Morgan was the
one in a shock most than the rest of the audience. Rishe noticed Mrs Morgan
grasping the pen in her hand and he smiled to himself.
Mrs Morgan came back to her senses being fixated on
one of the monitors “Mr Verma is the data you have displayed accurate because
If it is not you could get into serious trouble”
Rishe confidently “Mrs Morgan if you are so doubt full
then you can take your phone and look it up yourself” Mrs Morgan fell silent. Everyone
in the hall started murmuring to one another.
Chancellor voice heightened “everyone silence, Mr Verma
please continue”
Rishe “ as you can see in order to improve a company’s
sales and market what is the most basic element that would enhance it …
Advertising ,there are many ways a company can advertise their product through
social media, brand outsourcing, celebrity influence and etc. but of all
these methods advertising can also be done through public interests ”
He turned to the screens “ as you can see on the
screens these are game feeds from a street game called CYWARS” he paused and
turned back to the audience “this game is played by various people in the
country and people love it but it is not officially recognized ,the concept of
this game can be discussed later but you all might be having one question ‘how
is some street game and company’s market related? ’” he paused “ it’s very much
related well everything is related when it comes to market ” he chuckled.
“ the page you see on the screens was out in the air
by less than 12 hours” he turned to the screen on which Mrs Morgan was
fixated were the webpage’s ratings were displayed and smith opened the
pages live details on another screen and Rishe continued “and you can see that
there are already one million viewers ,the ratings have crossed a lot of
milestone overnight” he looked at his team they were all smiling and turned
back “ well you might be still wondering how the companies can use this
strategy … well I am just going to show you some messages and let you imply the
benefits” in a few seconds one of the screens had various mails, texts ,e-
business cards “these are various companies that gave us various offers to
negotiate with them I know you think I am showing off by showing you all of
this” the audience laughed “well that was the only way I could make you
believe it and I would like to add one more thing before we get into the brief
description by my team” he turned to his team and they understood what it was
and nodded an approval ,fixated on Mrs Morgan“ as per University rules no
student is supposed to make money by using the university funds”
Mrs Morgan felt angry but she realized her defeat so
she smiled in surrender and he continued “so all of the earnings
made by this project will be donated to the orphanage and I would be delighted
to make a team out of those kids for CYWARS” the crowd cheered and clapped, he
added “and again if the University has no problem with it” the crowd
laughed.
The chancellor finally silenced the crowd and he
smiled “very well Mr Verma you may continue”
Rishe “now my team will give the detailed description
of the strategy starting with Karthik Reddy who will explain how we
implemented it, handing over to Karthik Reddy”
Karthik explained the panel about the strategy
followed by Smith Thomson who explained about the marketing tactics and
creating events and suspense among the viewers to increase the rating and
finally Rachael Michelson explained about the page building and their
plans to expand the present scenario to improve to live feed methods.
Finally the review was over, and the chancellor
approved of their work and the team was dismissed for the session. And the next
team had entered to present their project. As they left Ravi and Priya and a
few others exited the hall.
As Rishe was walking towards Priya and she came
forward and punched him in his stomach, he moved back in pain.
“Ouch!! Priya I know you have a black belt in ji-jitsu,
you could have gone a bit less hard damn that hurts”
“Well you could have at least told me that you were
going to broadcast me online”
“Surprise!” he gave out a smile in pain, she gave him
another blow at his thigh leg so he could lower his body by the blow and she
kissed him long enough that it was worth it.
Out in the hallway, Rishe and his friends were talking
about the reactions on their council’s faces.
Mrs Morgan came
out of the hall and came towards Rishe.
“Mr Verma may I have a word with you in private”
One of them in the back shouted “oooh busted” and a
few laughed. Rishe looked back and they stopped as he signaled them and he
followed her to the end of the hall.
Priya and Ravi watched Rishe and Mrs Morgan
having a serious discussion and it lasted for several minutes. After a while Rishe
walked slowly back to them while clicking his phone in one hand playing with
the 2 euro coin in his other hand. Ravi and Priya were waiting for his
reaction. He raised his head putting his phone back in his pocket. He looked calm
while they were anxious to know what he had discussed.
“What why are you looking like that”
Ravi “well I am not the one who spoke with devil” and
Priya bashed Rishe’s arm.
“Okay okay I will tell” he smiled widely shouted so
that all could hear “but before I could say it I would like to confess that we
are all going to have our graduation party today” everyone started roaring and
finally Smith, Karthik and Rachael had a relief in their faces and started
jumping even though whatever Rishe and Mrs Morgan had discussed.
Priya and Ravi pulled him out of the crowd who were
rounding him asked him to say everything “well Mrs Morgan had
finally accepted her defeat, she knew I was conning her so she is willing to
cooperate with the project and the University is going to fund for the further
expansion of the CYWARS” Priya got excited and hugged him and even Ravi jumped
in. And everyone lifted Rishe and conveyed him out of the building.
The Lacrosts team and a few other teams also came to hear
the verdict of their plan to CYWARS being official. For Rishe and his team
doing their final project was one thing, officially giving recognition to
CYWARS was another breakthrough. So they all thanked him and thanked them in
return for believing in him.
Rishe came in front of them all “guys I know you are
excited but don’t waste all your energy now, save it for the party tonight” and
they all cheered even though it was pointless.
CHAPTER SIX
Back in the hill side woods a tent lay down empty, the
Comm system which was inside the tent started beeping out voices
“Come in blackcat one and two this is control do you
read” there was no response
“Again blackcats come in this is control, do you read,
I repeat do you read”
After a few more trials control withdrew from the
Comms and the Comm system went back to radio silence.
CHAPTER SEVEN
Rishe threw a big party to all his friends. All
of them were neatly dressed and were having fun. Everyone Rishe knew were there
at the party even Mrs Morgan and her husband came to the party. Rishe gave out
a worm welcome to all the people and thanked them for their cooperation and
dedication which lead them to their victory and thanked everyone for
coming to celebrate their achievement.
Rishe searched for Priya but she was nowhere to be found.
He asked Ravi to look for her but he had no luck finding her. He tried he phone
but she wasn’t picking it up.
Ravi fixed him a drink at the bar and they both
talked. Rishe told him the conversation between him and his dad which priya overheard
and how she got mad.
Ravi gave him a advice “brother I can only tell you
one thing just tell her how you feel about her I am sure she will understand
you besides we are talking about our Priya here”
“Easy for you to say you are not one who is being
bashed up by a girl every time there is a problem”
“come on we both know you are faking it to let her
feel superior when it is always the other way around you are like a big, what
is that term we use back home in our hometown” he searched for the term “yeah a
‘Jaadu wala’ like a con artist”.
They both laughed and had a few more shots and then
Rishe took Ravi’s advice took two glasses and champagne bottle from the bar and
went out to the parking area towards his car. As he approached his car someone
with a sweet voice called him .he turned and was amazed to see Priya .she was
dressed perfectly in her dope looking sundress. She looked gorgeous below the
street light above her which lightened the dress and her.
“You look fabulous I know I am a little drunk but I am
still in my senses and looking at you I might lose myself” she chuckled with
shyness
“you look good too” he left the glasses and bottle on
the car roof and walked close to her and kissed her like he had never done that
for years.
“I thought you might not show up so I decided to come
to your apartment”
“I am here now you know I cannot hide from you forever,
you know I cannot do that” she giggled
“I know and I am so sorry for all the pain I have
caused you so I am going to set one thing straight so that we don’t have to go
through this anymore” Rishe took her hands and “Priya Mukerjee ,I Rishe Verma
love you from the bottom of my heart I
might be a pain in the ass but I will never stop loving you” she looked shocked
and slowly Rishe got on to one knee “so Priya Mukerjee , I am looking forward
to marry you and have a few rascals with you”
She had tears were filling her eyes and she had her
hand on her mouth like she couldn’t
reply him but Rishe couldn’t wait so he looked at her “babe what do you say I
know you think that this is the drunk me speaking but trust me I am completely
in my senses”
She couldn’t say anything something grasped out of her
handful mouth but it was not clear. Rishe looked at her clueless then she broke
out “not only rascals” Rishe jumped on his feet and kissed her understanding
how difficult it was for her to speak out her answer.
They enjoyed their moment opening up the champagne bottle.
After Priya stopped her tears they both walked to party and enjoyed themselves
Rishe announced their proposal to the crowd. And everyone celebrated their moment.
After a while Ravi and Rishe were alone
“ravi this is for you” he brought two glasses of the
oldest bourbon in the bar“ thank you for the advice if it wasn’t you none
of this would have happened”
He took one glass and he chuckled “this was all you’re
doing brother and your habit of pushing your achievements to others is never
going to stop is it?” They laughed and had a few more rounds
After a while Rishe’s phone rang. To his surprise after
all those drinks he was still in his senses he took out his phone it was an
unknown private number but it was definitely from India since the caller
id on his phone showed IND. He answered the call.
“Hello who is this?” by his reflex “dad is that you….
Did you change your number?”
There was a music being played in the call it had a
different type of beat and a variation of beats in the background drums after
every lyrics of the song that was played in it. After some time the call was
disconnected.
Rishe ended the call he assumed it was a dialer tune
for his phone so he ignored.
This strange call made Rishe realize that he forgot to
call his father after his panel review.
He took up the dialer and dialed his father's number
and waited on the line. He took out the 2 euro coin and the 2 dollar Honk Kong
coin from his pocket and started flipping one another. But there was no answer.
He looked up his watch and it was 1.35am here and therefore it is 7.05 am
in India. He dialed the number again after a few rings the call was connected
“hi dad what took you so long ?” there was no response
for a second
A bold and sorrowful voice replied “Master Rishe this
is Raju speaking”
He was relieved to hear his voice and continued flipping
the coins in his hand “oh Raju, is dad still asleep don’t bother waking him up
tell him to call as soon as he wakes up”
“Master Rishe I thinks it is better if you could come
home as soon as possible”
“Yeah I will be in a few days why the rush?” he
continued playing and started flipping both at a time.
“No Master Rishe I hope you could come now it’s your
father” he paused to take a breath “he’s been murdered” the coins stumbled from
his hand when he flipped them and fell on the ground and the bounced once and
spun to the ground.
